Having recently purchased a home in San Francisco's Bernal Heights neighborhood, our clients set about replacing an overgrown tangle of trees with an outdoor gathering space for hosting friends. Bringing together the main elements in one central gathering area provides a naturally social space. Placement of a circular spa level with an adjacent lounging area make for easy conversations, and keep a warm fire nearby for chilly evenings. A grill and bar area round out the main gathering space, an arbor above contains a fold-down TV for watching sporting events. A large dining area anchors the rear of the space, and strategically placed trees will in time provide cover and context to the good times.
